Family Reconnection - Special Conditions

Important: Family reconnection traces are subject to additional conditions under the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 and UK GDPR.

By proceeding with a family reconnection trace, you acknowledge and agree to the following conditions set out in Clause 18 of our Terms of Business:

Consent-Led Disclosure: We operate a consent-led disclosure policy. We will not release the subject's contact details to you without their express permission.
Verification of Lawful Purpose: If we discover a court order, injunction, or legal restriction prohibiting contact, we will terminate the instruction immediately.
The Reconnection Process: Once located, we will contact the subject to inform them of your request and seek their consent.
Right of Refusal: If the subject declines to share their details, we cannot disclose their information to you. We may offer to pass a message at our discretion.
Mandatory Disclosure: We reserve the right to notify authorities if the trace reveals potential breaches of court orders.

Additional Fee: Family reconnection traces incur an additional £50 + VAT consent contact fee. This covers the safeguarding contact required to obtain the subject's consent prior to disclosure.

This fee is payable regardless of whether the subject consents to disclosure. Your total for this order will be £200 + VAT.

You remain responsible for all agreed fees regardless of whether the located person consents to the disclosure of their information.

I have read and accept the Family Reconnection Special Conditions (Clause 18) and understand that disclosure is subject to the located person's consent. I acknowledge the additional £50 + VAT consent contact fee.

Terms & Conditions

I confirm that I have a lawful basis to search for the person named above and will indemnify Palatine against any costs arising from misuse of this service.

I have read and accept the Terms of Business and acknowledge that I will be liable for fees upon a successful trace.

I understand that work will begin immediately upon submission. I expressly consent to this and acknowledge that I waive my right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 once the service has commenced.
